Dr. V. Sridhar (vsridhar@iiitb.ac.in) is Professor at the Centre for IT and Public Policy at the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore, India. He is the author of two books published by the Oxford University Press: The Telecom Revolution in India: Technology, Regulation and Policy (2012), and The Dynamics of Spectrum Management: Legacy, Technology, and Economics (2014). His third book titled Emerging ICT Polices and Regulations: Roadmap to Digital Economies was published in 2019 by Springer Nature. He is currently editing a book titled Data Centric Living: Algorithms, Digitization and Regulation, to be published by Routledge. Dr. Sridhar has taught at many Institutions in the USA, Finland, New Zealand and India. He has received funding from different sources, both national and international for his research projects, recent ones being from Facebook and Azim Premji University Research Foundation. He has been a member of Government of India committees on Telecom and IT and has published many peer reviewed articles in telecom and information systems journals. A seasoned professional with an over 20 years of experience in Telecom Network Planning, Engineering, Deployment and Management of large scale wire-line and wireless networks. Himanshu started career as part of prestigious Indian Telecom Services cadre under Department of Telecommunication, in 1999. He has extensive experience across organizations such as DoT, BSNL, Airtel and is currently leading STL’s technology team responsible for hyper scale networks. His interest lies in addressing complex challenges of the Network deployment leveraging modern technologies like IoT, Analytics, Robotics, Augmented Reality, AI / ML, Drones. LiDAR, Geo-spatial applications etc. He has filed several patents for developing innovative solutions in these technology areas. He has completed Management program from IIM Calcutta and B.Tech in Electronics from NIT Nagpur.

Sudipta Bhaumik is Head- Application and Standard Engineering at STL. He has been in the telecommunication field for over 22 years and engaged in research into quality, reliability, and application issues of optical fiber and cable. He was one of the architects of quality, process, and application engineering of STL’s state-of-the-art optical fibre and cable manufacturing plants. He is an active expert member in telecom standard development organizations like ITU-T, IEC, BIS, TEC, and represents India in International standard development committees and serves as an editor to ITU-T. Sudipta is one of the founder members and master trainers of STL Academy. A frequent author of technical papers, he twice won the Urbain J.H. Malo Award for most meritorious research paper in Wire Association International (WAI)’s convention. Sudipta holds a M.Tech degree in ceramic engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University.

Sushmita brings in two decades of global experience in leading Recruitment Function across Investment Banks, Telecom and IT Consulting companies. She has worked across global locations setting up Recruitment CoE and delivery functions for leading multinational organisations. Sushmita’s strengths lie in spotting right TALENT across different skill sets, building delivery capacity and setting up high standard delivery processes as per Business requirement. To name a few she started her career with Technology giant Cognizant Technologies and leading Investment Banks like Royal Bank of Scotland, Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers/Nomura and Bank of America.
